Here is your chance to have a say……
The CVRD Parks & Trails Division is exploring future use options for Saltair Centennial Park and wants to hear from the community……
Saltair Centennial Park is a 5.85 hectare community park located in Electoral Area G – Saltair/Gulf Islands, between South Oyster School Road and Mountain View Drive.
The park was first established in 1984 with various acquisitions over the years with the last purchase in 2014, being the former Mount Brenton School property now the Saltair Community Centre.
The park has been built up over the years with various park amenities:
- tennis courts ,
- concession and washroom building (1991),
roller hockey court (1998),
-
As park user’s change over time, and these park amenities are reaching their lifespan, decisions will need to be made in the next few years on whether to replace existing amenities with newer versions or change them out for different amenities. In 2018, Saltair Centennial Park had over 28,600 visitors to the park which will continue to grow annually as more people wish to spend their time outdoors.
A concept plan is being developed for the park and we are looking for your input.
